That wouldn't help! Thinking like a terrorist for a minute though, it was an ideal time to strike. World focus on Britain, all the special forces north of the border, London world's most famous city, authorities' attention elsewhere......
Thanks for all your words of concern, I'm fine though, no need to worry.
In all seriousness we have been quite panicked in the store today and rather upset. We knew something was up at about 9.30 when staff started calling to say they would be late because of a power surge on the tube. After the third station went bang I knew it wasn't a bloody power surge; the bus explosion confirmed that. To be stuck in the middle of it all and not really know what was happening was not pleasant. You couldn't use or contact any mobiles, the internet was down and even the landlines got jammed. We were getting news of more and more explosions and it was becoming quite terrifying. I'm lucky, all my friends and family have been accounted for, all our staff are ok. There's alot of people in London tonight that can't say the same.
Thank goodness you're all ok Bev and Mark and your family and friends. I came here hoping for good news from you both. I'm really sorry for what you all must be going through over there. There are some seriously sick people in this world.
Does it strike anybody else pretty odd that they'd attack 3 trains and 1 bus? If they were trying to inflict maximum pain, wouldn't they go after more buses after taking out the trains (as people would logically try to get on a bus after the trains stopped)
Still, events like this make me seriously fucking angry.... all my wishes are with those who have been injured and killed
