Hello,

I thought I'd share this with u:

The following links are the mp3s of my band "Kaoteon" 's first demo, an extreme metal band from Lebanon - Beirut, currently signed to unsung heroes records (usa).

The demo was recoreded at a home studio, in 1 single take, under very deprived conditions.

The links to download the demo are:

I'd like to know what you guys think about it.

Thank you :)

and by the way, we currently need a recording drummer! Thanks again.

all of them are great, especialy for a home studio. Like some other guy said, it reminds me a lot of Aeternus' masterpiece "beyond the wandering moon".

I know of a bunch of good bands in Algeria, Egypt, Syria,... the scene there is outlawed by the radical government and people risk their lives setting shows,... equipment is old, people don't always have the funds to even put out a cd and still troopers find a way to play true metal.

That's very true!
The situation here is too fucked up!
By the way, does Johan Hegg (Amon Amarth) use this forum?

lol thx for precising that johan hegg is from AA :p this is only the official forum.
anyway welcome to the forum, it will change us to have a middle eastern guy here. i cant imagine how hard it must be to be a metalhead in these countries, but thats cool that their are some. hey man, do you listen to your metal hiding or with the sound really low so that the neighbors wont denounce you?? :loco: you little rebel!
by the way ur english is really good, my history isnt clear, was lebanon an english colony at a time which could explain your aptitudes in the language? (i thought it was french, and we suck ass in english):p or are you just good ^^

Lebanon was a french colony, and about my english language, well we do have schools and universities here you know :p
by the way, listening to metal is not the hard part, how to get metal cds is the real problem since importing and exporting metal is forbidden, and whats even harder is having live gigs or releasing something in this country.
Oh and Celtik Militia, our drummer is French-Lebanese and he plays with the French Death metal maniacs Decoherence.

Thnx for your good reviews guys :)

No prob Bob. Keep up the great attitude!

"Don't care what they may say we got that attitude. Don't care what they may do we got that attitude. Hey we got that PMA (positive mental attitude). Hey we got the PMA. Hey we got the PMA"

thanks for sharing your music! I know it's hard to be a metal fan in the ME. I like a metal band from Israel/Palestine called "Melechesh" and they moved to The Netherlands because of trouble. their music is good but their lyrics are a bit too complicated for me...and I don't have the courage to start exploring the whole "sphynxology" theory.
AA's lyrics are ok because I learned some basic Viking mythology in school. So I didn't have to start from scratch...

nice music man!
good to hear new extreme sounds from the mid. east!
As for melechesh, most of the members there nowadays are non-middle easterns. I think one of them is an Ex-Israeli..they`ve been here but I missed their gig :\

If any of you like metal with some oriental influences he should try Eternal Gray too. good upcoming band form israel (not mentioning ORPHANED LAND, they`ve knowen enough I believe)

There was another good ALGIRIAN band I heard once but I dont remember their name!
