^ it's tough to explain, but he puts on a show when he drums, throwing a stick to a roadie, keeps drumming, then the roadie tosses it back (like 10 meters mind you) and mike scatches it out of the air and whips into a solo like it was nothing

haha, that's what wins me on DT

haha i'm half kidding when i say that. I've seen DT 3 times live, and actually met Portnoy twice. I respect him a lot, and think he's a great drummer.

I think I'm done seeing them live....well after Iron Maiden....Seen them 3 times myself....though that anniversary concert where they played one track from each album was pretty cool.
