Yeah so, I bought 2 of their CDs about a year ago after seeing Autolux in concert, and all I have to say is they are definitely one of the best bands that time forgot. So much emotion, so much innovation, so much originality.

I know there are some Fantastic Planet fans here, but honestly I'm digging Magnified more, in particular Empty Friend.

Discuss, queers (that remark is directed jokingly at 60% of you, seriously at the other 40%).

EDIT: JESUS FUCK I didn't realize I had over 31 THOUSAND posts here. RIDIKULUS! *poof*

i didn't dig Magnified or Comfort very much. Fantastic Planet is a super alt rock album. Nothing fancy, just great songs like Stuck on You, Heliotropic, Daylight, and Saturday Savior

Have I really been around here that much over the past few years, or do I just triple post a lot? I mean, fucking hell, I've accomplished so much in my life over the past 5 years that it's ridiculous. So many books read, I had sex like 4,000 times, listened to and loved hundreds of wonderful albums, recorded a demo with not one but two different bands, drank like 90 bottles of scotch, and certainly jerked off at least 1,400 times.

I mean fuck, life is pretty sweet I suppose.

somebody's livin the dream

Hey Doosniffer, if you can stop blowing ass for 10 seconds keep listening to Failure until you recognize how fucking AWESOME they were.

I prefer Magnified over Fantastic Planet, but both are pretty kickass. I have yet to hear the first one.

Well, Ill admit that Magnified seems better than Fantastic Planet, upon first listens. Kind of sounds like a different band.

Ugh, Im not sure I really wanna invest much time in this stuff though tbh. Nothing about it sticks out at me.

From listening to Magnified couple of times, I remember the guitar lines being pretty amazing and variant considering the music style. The vocals, however, were not very appealing and that's a shame.

Fantastic Planet the movie probably owns Fantastic Planet the album.

I was listening to Magnified a few weeks ago and a friend of mine was a bit blown away. So his birthday is in a few days and I was going to buy him that along with the not-quite-as-good album Fantastic Planet.

Physical copies for both are nonexistent and/or starting at $50 each. Fucking ridiculous that this band isn't more well known. They were so good! Oh well, at least you can buy inferior quality downloadable versions for $9 or so.

Perfect example of how they did pop type things mixed with heavy/awesome.

Note the facial expression of the frog on that album cover:
