Far be it from me to start following trends...

Well, it probably wasn't illegal because his brother was changing the laws to make it alright. But ethically he was wrong, and if there's a circle of hell especially for the ethically corrupt then he's gonna spend a long time there.
 
Bush couldn't win the election against Gore fairly, so he got his brother to cheat. Republicans will argue he won fair and square, but he didn't. He had to change rules and disenfranchise voters to win a miniscule majority. It was Florida that won him the election, the state where his brother is Governor. Co-incidence?

He didnt cheat! Cheating is doing something against the law. It was completely legal. Gore would have done the same thing had he been able to. It came down to one state, and Bush won it. Gore was trying to have the voting cards that had been punched, but only had an indent in them and not a hole, counted. Thats just as dubious, if you cant even manage to punch a card right, you have no business being allowed to vote!

He used what he could within the law to win the election. EVERY politician does that. Everyone just gets their panties in a knot because they think Bush is the antichrist (which he isnt, he is far too dumb).
 
I don't believe Bush won the 2000 election legitimately. The fact that he needed to have Jeb Bush change the electoral roll in Florida to guarantee his victory tells me that he doesn't believe he couldn't have won otherwise. Gore did try to have the informal votes counted, that's true, but only after Bush had pulled his stunt in Florida that forced the recount in the first place. The US administration is in the hands of some seriously dangerous, deluded and deranged individuals whose political and religious affiliations lie in the extreme right. I'm not sure how much better Gore would have been as President, but Bush and the people behind him are madmen.
 
Bush is too dumb to be a madman, just listen to his speeches, he doesnt even know how to speak the english language properly! I just dont understand how people think he is some kind of antichrist behind the scenes and that he sits there thinking "How many people can I kill today?" or something. He is a VERY dumb president. Thats all there is to it. Dumb can be dangerous, I agree, but its different to him being a genius who is dangerous.
