Though this CD was released last year, it received very little press even by prog metal fans. I don't know why... but I decided to give a two thumbs up.

This CD rips IF you can handle moody progressive stuff. If you are new to prog I wouild skip this till a later time, but if you do like prog, this is the best stuff they have done in many years.

Sorry buddy but it did nothing for me. And I am an extreme prog-head. I did really like the vocals on this one. Although I still think that Ray Alder does not hold a candle to the mighty John Arch

Ha ha ha well it's funny like that. You and I share much like tastes and much different tastes as well.

As long as you agree Vanden Plas, Accept and Tad Morose kick ass I promise not to fly over to your house, drink all of your beer, hang you from your ceiling by your feet and eviscerate you.

Friends ?

Of course buddy, although I don't like Vanden Plas
Btw you are always welcome to drop in and drink all of my beer.

However it seems that we do have to talk about the "ceiling by your feet and eviscerate you" bit... :p

Ha ha ha as well as I know you, I don't remember you not liking Vanden Plas. Hmmm... that band simply has magic. I will sharpen my biggest knife. Please make sure to get plenty of beer from Carnut before I go to your place. >:P~

Out of pure dismay, what about Vanden Plas don't you like ?

Its the singer I am afraid. His nasal sound. I don't like it. I have this thing with some singers. Like Hansi from Blind Guardian, I can't stand him. He makes my throat hurt. Kai Hansen another vocalist I don't like. Why? Dude, i have no idea. I wish I had, because I could works around it and have a few more bands that I like :)

Btw, not too make a big thing about it, but we have plenty good beer here in the Netherlands, thanks you very much

You can be damned sure that if you visit my place carnut will be there. If I will not invite him, he will invite himself I am sure

FWX did absolutely nothing for me either .... This seem to be another like-or-hate recording.(I do like Vanden Plas and Tad Bryant, so I can be saved)..In fact , FWX does so little to me that anyone that asks here first gets the CD for free from me, right in his postbox!

How similar is FWX to Disconnected?

Carnut -- I'd be happy to take that free copy of FWX off 'yer hands! :)

We indeed have a winner :-) PM me your mail adress Wdiv !!!

Carnut -- Got the cd in the mail today. Thanks a bunch man... you're a real stand-up guy!
Seems like a pretty solid album from a first listen... reminds me a bit of the Perfect Symmetry album,

Solid album, not their greatest (though as far as 2004 is concerned, its up there), but quite solid.
Although, If I were ever to have a compilation of my favorite Fates Warning songs ever, "A Handul Of Doubt" would so be on there, along with maybe "Wish"
