Got to hook up our drummers triggers for the first time directly into a Profire 2626 last night. Snare and tom triggers were fine, but apparently they throw his drums out of tune. Any advice for this issue?

Main reason for this post: kick trigger seems fucked. Its crackling and popping and just dirty sounding. And this is a replacement trigger as his first kick trigger was messed up and returned.

Another bad trigger? Broken? Cables are all new......

Yup, it's dying.

Damn. Thanks, I just didn't know if it was too tight/loose against the skin as I don't know much at all about them. I'll let him know.....I wonder if he's doing something wrong to ruin them so quickly? This is the second one now and he's barely used them.

are they ddrum red shot triggers by any chance?

those are known to break easily if you even look at them the wrong way.

there's some other triggers that sneap once mentioned he likes which can be found on ebay for cheap as shit...not sure what they were called, but i'm sure someone will chime in with a link now that they've been mentioned

but yea - those redshots are total crap, not even sure why they still make them, TBH
