Dan Swano has more bands than the entire nation of sweden combined, whats your favorite?

Odyssey is one of his smaller projects, but one of my favorites. Only one release, a 3 track LP with horrible artwork, but its fantastic.

Ribspreader is his new death metal project, totally fucking brutal.

His solo release, moontower, is great.

And of course Edge Of Sanity.


I give an honorable mention to Nightingale as well. Their recent album is fucking amazing, but all the others are pretty boring.

I like Edge of Sanity's early work, but his solo Moontower album is bloody great.

Also looking forward to hearing the new Bloodbath album... the other two were good, but got pretty boring pretty quick.

I love moontower, and most the EoS albums. Bloodbath is ok too, just a bit repetitive.

As for non-metal projects...I love unicorn, and the new nightingale kicked my ass. Can't wait for "second sky"

Moontower is a brilliant album, i'm not to keen on EoS or Bloodbath, and I haven't heard any of his other stuff.

Haha, he used to shout it too. The new nightingale, and "odyssey" both have good vocal work though. Nightingale in particular impressed me. It's a pity he couldn't have sang like that on the unicorn albums, would have been great.

My favorite would be Ribspreader, but I don't consider that a Swano project, since he didn't do any of the songwriting. So in that case, Steel.

Moontower, followed by Unicorn. I'm hoping the new Nightingale and Second Sky will be as good as Dan says they are.

As for Dan's heavier stuff, I really like EoS, and Odyssey, and I've been meaning to listen to Pan.Thy.Monium.

Dan must have the attention span of a 5 year old. I mean, how can one person be involved in thousands of different projects? He makes Tony Levin look like a slacker!
