Surprised to see Edguy on so many lists. I don't hate it but even with only 3 albums on my favorites list so far I know it isn't going to be a top 10 album for me. I'm still on the fence about Slough Feg, and there is a bunch of stuff I need to get like Twilight Force, Dark Forest, High Spirits, etc.

I almost didn't even buy the Edguy CD. Got it for free with a gift card and I was really surprised how good it was.

I don't have it but I will eventually. From what I've heard it sounds really good. My problem is that it's almost a direct clone from Candlemass.

I honestly was shocked how good it was. I streamed it before buying and really liked it. I had pretty much given up on them.

But yeah, I agree with Lee the Bee - the influence is there, esp vocally, but not so much musically.
