I think for me it has to be the Amon Amarth albums. You really see how good they were when comparing AA's albums to their last one Versus The World. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE that album, but the drum production is damn near annoying as St. Anger.

Definitely At The Heart of Winter. Immortal (R.I.P.) were awesome. The atmosphere on that album was amazing.

Shit, I almost forgot about Wolf. I just fucking love those albums, and the production is spot on 80's metal bliss. Music to drink and fuck too. Can't wait for the third Wolf album btw.

I can't decide among At the heart of winter, Enthrone darkness triumphant and Rebirth...maybe if i had to pick one just one title i'd say Dimmu borgir's album, because it's still their masterpiece according to me, there are really devastating riffs of pure black metal with inhuman blastbeats on a side, and on the other one those sweet and melancholic melodies...

Yeah man, I love this album too. But correct me if I am wrong, AA self-produced this album(rather mostly the drummer, Fredrik Andersson), thus explaining my previous post's qualms with the drum sound. Cheers.
