Favorite color?

No poll because I'd leave something out. Feel free to specify shade. Please no discussion of whether black and white are colors (scientifically, black is the absence of color, white is all colors combined, practically, no one gives a fuck).

Imperial purple for me. Just looks ill.

Well, black isn't so much the absence of light, but the culmination of it, insofar as it absorbs the whole spectrum of light leaving none to be reflected to the human eye.
