To celebrate Nevermore's first album in 5 Years let's discuss the classics...:headbang:

My favorite is Dreaming Neon Black followed by The Godless Endeavor, also love Dead Heart. I hated Enemies of Reality and never got around to buying the first 2 but have heard Politics.

dreaming neon black, dead heart in a dead world, enemies of reality are all amazing. Politics is good, hated the S/T and godless endeavor is boring

I am not sure why Dreaming Neon Black is getting so much love, Dark Heart and Godless are certainly superior to Dreaming IMHO. Dark Heart would be my pick as Nevermore's best album, it is their most consistent effort and has some of my favourite Nevermore songs including Engines of Hate and Nacrosynthesis.

Voted Dead Heart. Simply contains all my favorite tracks: Insignificant, Evolution 169, The River Dragon, Inside Four Walls....really I think all of them are my favorite nevermore tracks.

Definitely This Godless Endeavor.
The best song writing and to top it off, the best production Nevermore have had to date (remains to be seen if the new one tops it).
I honestly find the really old Nevermore stuff hard to listen to because of the really scooped guitar tones and the production not being the best

the best band in the world IMO, for so many reasons. but, i didn't vote because it's too hard for me. dead heart got me into the band...but politics and enemies and godless and dreaming... are...all amazing. jeff loomis is the best guitarist in metal hands down.

I love this band. One of the best ones around. That being said I havent heard he first two albums.

I voted for "the godless endeavour". Its a beast of an album but "dreaming neon black" is close as well. "Enemies of reality" is good but I find myself growing a little tired if I listen to it all the way through. However when I tried listen to the remix/remaster it was way better - it really changed the album. I never did buy it or listen to it again so I cant judge it fairly. I also love "Dead heart in a dead world" but I dont know where to place it with the other albums in regard. Still great, great band. And no band really sounds like them (not that I've heard anyway).

I'm always surprised that TPOE doesn't get more love. I think it has some of their best tracks (The Seven Tongues of God, Next In Line, Love Bites). With that said, I think DHIADW is their most consistently brilliant album, start to finish. TGE has some mind-blowing moments, but the overall quality doesn't equal DHIADW or TPOE for me. DNB has never really interested me. I would take EOR over DNB.

Dead Heart in a Dead world is all I have, and it's not bad, but I got bored of it. And the vocals just start to get annoying after awhile.
