1984 was the best year ever in my opinion! I voted for W.A.S.P, Priest and Maiden, but here are all my honourable mentions:

Metallica - Ride The Lightning
Ratt - Out Of The Cellar
Scorpions - Love At First Sting (AMAZING!)
Twisted Sister - Stay Hungry
Quiet Riot - Condition Critical
Dio - The Last In Line
Manowar - Hail To England (easily their best)
Anthrax - Fistful Of Metal (my fave by them also)

Ahhhh plus Kiss - Animalize was released and it's the ONLY Kiss album I haven't heard all of... but no doubt that would easily be in my list also as I love '80s Kiss and the songs I've heard rule.

What a year! Why couldn't I have been a teenager then?

Oh... and W.A.S.P. is definitely in my top 3 albums of all time so that gets my vote for best album of 1984 easily.

I went for Kiss,WASP and something you forgot...Jon Bongiovi (the studio thing he put together) very good stuff. plus I am sure threre is others I can't think of now.

I was gonna vote for 1984 by Van Halen but I actually think that album was released in 1983.

Animal, I Wanna Be Somebody, L.O.V.E. Machine, School Daze, Hellion, Sleeping In The Fire, Tormentor, B.A.D, The Flame... c'mon this album has more W.A.S.P. classics than any other! And more attitude! And the best production! The drums sound killer and the guitar sound is so metal!

Dude - you forgot On Your Knees and The Torture Never Stops, both of which I prefer to BAD and The Flame.
