Feedback for a WIP metalcore mix

Hey guys, been working on a mix here and I have hit a bit of a wall.

I have uploaded only part of it, and the track is unmastered.

Any chance of some crits?

Sounds like the guitars are a bit harsh in both the high mids and treble, and are lacking in the low mids. Working on the guitar tone for a while should help make the mix less fatiguing. The snare sounds like it's got a blend of samples that don't fit with the rest of the kit. It's kind of got a bit too much of a roomy sound printed to it and a somewhat middy resonance that doesn't suit the rest of the mix. The bass is also too low in volume, which makes the guitar seem thin and the whole mix seem harsher than it probably is. IMO, working on this stuff should help get the mix to a next level.

A good way to improve on the mix would be to reference with tracks that you like so you get an idea of the mix as a big picture while being able to target different elements.
