armpit of the midwest...
I had this desire, the other day, to listen to all the songs in my collection that had to do with vampirism.

I came up with a few that were fun and exciting, but ran out of ideas....

Deadly Blessing - Salem's Lot
Wrathchild America - London After Midnight & Gentleman Death
Helstar - Nosferatu
Nevermore - Love Bites (far better than Priest's rendition)

...and then I ran out of gas. I know there're more out there, but...

What do you folks listen to when you are feeling vamp-ish?

Bored in Ohio,

queensryche - walk in the shadows

probably just about any Vasaria song ..

and bronx casket co. has at least 1 i'm sure

CoF - Dusk And Her Embrace
Helstar - Rhapsody in Black/Baptized in Blood

most type-o songs.....some Moonspell songs....Daemonarch....

a few others but i forget the names of the bands...

btw any ever watch queen of the damned...pretty suckeh.....what i hated most...Lestat in a nu-metal band......i woulda figured he'd lean towards some sort of power or black metal act but NO.....that wouldn't be marketable....

Thanks, folks. I've listened to a few of the suggestions, and will be adding them to the "I feel Vampish" CD when I get around to it.

I'm a little surprised "Hypnotized" by Metal Church hasn't been bandied around, but, then again, by the sales figures, I might just be the only person to own that particular album.... *shrugs*

There's always Sarah McLaughlin's "Building A Mystery."

Journalist arrested over vampire story
Mon Jan 20, 2:07 AM ET

BLANTYRE (Reuters) - Malawi police have arrested a radio broadcaster after he interviewed a man who claimed that he had been attacked by mysterious blood suckers.

Bizarre rumours have been swirling round the impoverished southern African country since late last year that the government was colluding with vampires to collect human blood for international aid agencies.

President Bakili Muluzi has ordered police to arrest anybody who spread the rumour. Police said on Sunday they arrested community radio broadcaster Maganizo Mazeze in the commercial capital Blantyre for failing to give details of the interview aired on Saturday.

There have been several vigilante attacks in the past month despite official attempts to quash the vampire rumour. One man was stoned to death and three priests have been attacked by angry villagers in the south.

Police spokesman George Chikowi told Reuters that Mazeze had failed to identify the alleged victim "meaning the story is a fabrication and aimed at tarnishing the reputation of the government." Mazeze's lawyer was not immediately available for comment.

Chikowi said Mazeze would appear in court on Monday charged with "broadcasting/publishing false news likely to cause public unrest".
