Fellow Bikers, (all one of you) Help!

Yeah, I try riding my bike on any type of pavement, and I fucking DIE with my fat knobby tires. lmao
Yeah, it's unpleasant to say the least. I always hope for my around-town rides to be downhill in both directions

Nice ride, a Cannondale with a Lefty fork ... hot!

A little surprised though as I know you don't like to splurge on these types of things and that's not a cheap ride ... :zombie:
Yeah. The wife insisted on going. I wouldn't have got it otherwise. I just loathe buying things. I dunno why.
Funny avatar btw

PS I saw a pic of Britney Spears driving her Mini with her baby in the back seat. Gave me an idea :loco:

haha yeah, but I'm just kidding. There's no way the wife would get a Mini. It was interesting to see that a baby seat would fit in the back though.

heh you must have the wrong impression about Minis - they are bona fide rally cars. And besides, Lurch drives one, so you better hope he doesn't see your "puss" comment

Triple post: I thought you jerks would find it amusing that my bike doesn't fit on my bike rack. hahaha FUCK

Yar, I actually saw that and similar models on mtbr.com and other manufacturer's sites. Only problem is I would need a hitch. I would thusly need to spend another $300 for a rack and $300 for a hitch on top of the $1650 i spent on the bike. My current plan is to sell the Miata for $5000 and buy a $2000 Ford F150. I've already found one, just need to sell my car first.

Another thought is using the bus system to cart my shit to the park which is about 20 minutes away. Problem there is some bum walks up to the front of the bus and just lifts my bike right off the rack whilst I sit in the bus, oblivious.

yeah, i know what you mean, thats why I'd sit/stand near the front to pay attention to it.

edit: I watched some burly mountain biker leap off the bus and pound the fuck out of some hobo for just that reason the other day. then calmly get back on.

Hahaha, what is the deal with people casually stealing bikes? It's like an afterthought. If they only knew that the cost of some bikes would make it a felony to steal, they might not take the risk.

haha, yeah. I was tempted to join the bike guy out of principal.

Theres a reason why I'm paranoid about my bike. I lock it up good and everything quick release I bring with me (tires and seat)

Yeah, one day after school at junior high, I came out to ride home and someone had stolen my seat, presumably ONLY because it was a quick-release. One day in high school, I came out to ride home and someone had taken my wheels off and tossed them in a tree, presumably ONLY because they were quick release. WTF is wrong with people?

Yeah, it was probably some "cool" guy showing off to a bunch of his buddies. In the USA, it's not cool to ride a bike to school, so someone was probably trying to teach me (not that they knew who rode it) a lesson.

yeah, you're supposed to drive a gas guzzling vehicle... or a "pimped out" car.

Like a honda civic with a body kit and fucked up loud sounding exhaust.

edit: I kept my bike in the same room as the drafting teacher. He made it clear that if anyone touched it he'd pound their face in like it was his own mountain bike (back in the day before he tore his achilles tendon playing rugby).

being an asshole is fun/cool!
the other day I was leaving the library and there was a fat panfaced woman blocking the exit, so I gave her my best sneer and she quickly moved out of my way. It was then that I noticed she had one of those swaying gimp walks and I was thinking, "great, rick, you can intimidate panfaced female cripples."

lol...

I shock people all the time with my complete anti-asshole attitude. Stunned some pregnant lady on the train onetime. She had just gotten on and had to stand and looked tired (musta been twins from the look of her) and I offered my seat (the grimfaced metalhead in a slayer shirt)... she was so stunned she kinda stared and tried to stammer a thanks for some long some 20 something hindu douchebag stole her seat. I just about pounded him.
