Fender MetalHead...?

I heard it's kinda thumbs down. I'm very interested in trying out their new supersonic model though...

if you ever played an old M80 amp (SS fender) it's basically one of those REALLY loud

nice sparkley clean, loses in every other dept. tho

the new supersonic is a sweet amp

I've been impressed with the stuff Fender has put out over the past few years with bass amps. Older guitar amps, pretty cool. Newer guitar amps, lame. For practice we have the G-DEC in all the teaching rooms for guitars. Pretty cool affordable toy.

500W or 400W is really unnecessary...well f we were giants maybe it could be usefull, so we could hit the amp harder.... but if that's all there is to it then it sucks ass
50W heads rule

yep, infact generally a 100w solid state head is louder than a 25-30w tube head.....

I tried one a year or two ago. It was wretched.
VERY loud, but volume does not equal tone. It seems to me that they crammed 400+ watts in it just so they had something that would seem impressive to metalheads. I don't think they get it.....

Agreed... that whole 500 watts seems like a bullshit gimmick... i was hoping it would have a great tone, but the lack of people using it has to be there for some reason.. :)
