Jani Lane was the main songwriter and he was replaced with Jaime St. James of the AWESOME band Black N Blue and he has 2 connections to KISS:
1. Black N Blue's lead guitarist was Tommy Thayer who is the current KISS lead guitarist and has also directed videos for KISS and been writing with them since 1989.
2. Gene Simmons produced the Black N Blue albums "Nasty Nasty" & "In Heat" as well as co-writing songs on them.
