I've been looking for an interface to upgrade from my UA-25EX, because I'm starting to need reamping capabilities at my apartment.

These seem like the two best/most affordable choices I have right now, and I'm looking for a little input on them.

The outputs on the saffire are a little confusing because they are labeled for 5.1 surround sound, but if I can just route my DI's out one of the 6 outputs like normal, then I'll be set.

What do you guys think?

Awesome. Very close results. I'm not too worried about the preamps though because, being in an apartment, I will likely never be micing up any amps. Just going to go the impulses route for now.

So basically it comes down to driver stability. I'm leaning towards the Focusrite, because I have had issues with Presonus hardware, but I don't have any experience with Focusrite stuff, so...

I just took delivery of a Saffire. Downloaded the latest drivers etc, did a firmware update and it is running fine. I have a TI chipset for onboard firewire which helps things apparently. It sounds great. Good luck.

Glad to hear it. Can't wait.
