Fireface Help

Hey guys

So basically I sold all my gear as I am just mixing and I bought a RME Fireface. Now this may be the dumbest questions, but are all the outputs stereo, so do I need a stereo to mono cable to connect my speakers to say output 1? Is that the best way of connecting my monitors? I am not home at the moment, so can't grab the manual

All the (8?) outputs are mono (behind the unit). Only one channel per output. So your main output is assigned by default channels 1-2. You need 2 mono 1/4'' jacks for your speakers.

EDIT:
+ofc there is the headphone STEREO output in the front pannel, but you doesn't want to let that fuck up your speakers.

They are "balanced" in/output that's why they look stereo.

if your monitors have balanced INs then use a "stereo"-cable. If they don't have then use a "mono" cable. Fireface will accept both cables.
