FIREFEST 2014 – THE FINAL FLING
Okay, so if you have heard the announcement or read the poster, or indeed been pointed in our direction by people with impeccable taste in music, then you might need to know what's going on with FIREFEST 2014 – THE FINAL FLING.
Firstly the show takes place over 3 days, October 24 – 26, 2014, and at this point – without a band being announced – is 30% SOLD across all three days. The venue is the home of Firefest for the last 10 years Rock City, Nottingham, England.
EARLY BIRD OFFERS: we have 2 separate acoustic evenings, Friday October 24th – immediately after the main show – we will advise you of the venue very shortly as we are awaiting a 100% confirmation on that – but there are just 250 tickets available for this show – and entry will be FREE for the next 250 people purchasing full weekend tickets from Sunday Nov 24 – i.e. during or after the announcement show. Tickets for this event cannot be purchased – this is a thank you from us to you for supporting us by buying your show tickets early. Appearing on Friday night will be the one and only Mr Nathan James armed and ready with a bunch of solo tunes and also a couple of classics. However there is also a second act – a motley crew of Norwegians masquerading as The Magnificent – we say masquerading only because they ALL won't be there – but most of them will, where they will treat you to songs by the Magnificent and just about anything else you shout at them...okay, maybe not, but the set list is impressive and the guys just love Mr Big, Whitesnake, Toto and Survivor – plus you would never know who might jump up on stage with them! How good were the Magnificent at FF 2013? Amazing! So no one will want to miss this.
The second acoustic evening taking place on Saturday October 25th will be a very special evening with the one and only Mr Gary Hughes (TEN). What can you expect to hear? Well Gary has promised a few from his excellent solo albums Strength of Heart and Precious Ones, something from Once and Future King as well as some songs from the Bob Catley solo albums which Gary wrote, and we imagine the odd Ten track might make an appearance. However this night is ALREADY FULL. If you have bought tickets before the show was announced (and are in the first 250 to do so), if you are a sponsor or a VIP – then you will be receiving tickets to THIS show. Why? Because it was originally the ONLY one planned before Nathan, Mike and the gang were co-opted into playing Friday. Again this is a FREE event as a thank you to all of you that support us and tickets cannot be purchased for this show either. Venue will also be advised for this night as soon as we have 100% confirmation.
Tickets for the weekend can be purchased by going directly to our web site www.firefestofficial.com and following the instructions – wire transfer, postal order, personal cheque, cash (at senders own risk) – wire transfer details, postal address is all available - just click on the SHOP link and then TICKETS, and take it from there.
The Final Fling is exactly that – the FINAL FIREFEST. If you have been to a Firefest previously then you know exactly what to expect, if you haven't then this is your last chance to experience exactly why Firefest has gained the reputation for being the most amazing family anywhere in the world. Have to travel solo? No problem, by the time you leave you will have 1500 new best friends as well as seeing some of the coolest bands on the planet (well in our world anyway!)
