The following are notable heavy metal/hard rock U.S. sales debuts for the week ending March 30, 2008, as reported by Nielsen SoundScan (all CD figures are rounded to the nearest hundred [except numbers over 10,000, which are rounded to the nearest thousand, and figures under 1,00, which are rounded to the nearest 50]; The Billboard 200 chart position included, where applicable):

CAVALERA CONSPIRACY - "Inflikted": 9,000 (#72)
FIREWIND - "The Premonition": 900
KORPIKLAANI - "Korven Kuningas": 350

Inflikted", the debut album from CAVALERA CONSPIRACY — the new project from SEPULTURA founding members and current CAVALERA CONSPIRACY collaborators Max Cavalera (guitar, vocals; also in SOULFLY) and Igor Cavalera (drums) — sold 9,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at No. 72 on The Billboard 200 chart.

BTW i just saw that the 'Mercenary Man' single went up from #6 to #5 in its third week in Greece.
