Alright guys,

What you FW cards you using with your PC's?

The amount of latency im having is doing my nut in so I think its time for an upgrade. Im using a Focusrite Saffire Pro 56 btw.

I don't have one personally, but the Lacie cards are supposed to be good for audio production work:

I bought a "LaCie FireWire 400 Design by Sismo" card and it's working very well. I skipped PCI-e and went for standard PCI instead and made sure it runs on its own IRQ without sharing with anything else.

Anything with a Texas Instruments controller. I use Belkin cards on my laptop (ExpressCard) and PC (PCI Express x1), both have a TI chip. Mostly Belkin because it's the only brand readily available here that has a TI chip 100% certainly (usually the chip manufacturer is not announced in the product info pages :zombie.
