hi folks,

so, as i said in my other thread in the equipment section, i recently got myself a pair of adam p11a's - god i love those speakers.

anyways, here's a mix i've been doing on my old monitors (yamaha hs 80m) that i redid on the adams.
i chose one of the full songs for mixing practice for this one - yasser arafats condemation.

well, here's the version with the new adams:

and here's the latest version of the same song that i did on the yammies:

aaand, just for shits and giggles, here's the same thing, once again done on the adams, but with a different mastering than the one listed above - this one is pretty straighforward mastering wise, just a touch of eq, 2 gclips, and w1 limiter. the other one was done with m/s processing, but only minor tweaks. i'm not sure whether i prefer the m/s version or the regular one, that's why i'm posting both.

feel free to comment & rip apart!

[disclaimer: i haven't checked either of the adam versions in my car (always the final test ;) ), but the last one i did on the adams translated almost 1:1, way more so than with the yammies, so....]

thanks for the comment!

well, likely a side effect of the gclips (it's plenty loud anways), plus i'm usually mixing at a fairly loud volume (85db or sth) to get the lows right, and i guess much of that clipping is masked by the volume. thanks for the heads up.

i hate yamahas
they blow in my opinion

adams are better

good job
lose a bit of the high mids on the mix though
and vocals need a bit of cutting somewhere

good job : )
