Help with new mix, can't get vocals to fit

Greetings

I've been Mixing this song, can't actually say what exact metal genre it is, but however, I'm pretty satisfied (not totally so any suggestion is welcome) with the instruments, But can't get the voice to fit, I feel it kinda boxy.

the mix sounds really good man. Congratulations.

the vocal sound a little burried in volume and reverb a bit. i don't think it's boxy (listening on AKG 240's)

cut arround 1k - 1.5k and take out some verb, you could also add a tiny bit of sparkle 5k - 6k. if you have Waves RVox, snap that and bring the threshold to something between -6db to -8db

I've did some minor Eq and comp, and lowered the verb as suggested. I thing it doesn't gets buried any more, but maybe it is a little bit to loud now what do you think?
