first MK 4 Clip

k, I just finished drumrecordings and hauled the cab in the booth instead...I didn't have ANY time at all, so I just used the settings I used for rehearsal yesterday and quickly threw 2 mics in front.
As a result these clips are far from what I'll be recording in the next days, but I just wanted to record anything, so I thought I could as well post it:


with the 57 1.5 dB louder than the 184


with the 184 1.5 dB louder than the 57

Being a drummer and all and definately not an amp guru, I find them both to sound very solid and good man!

The one with the 57 being above the 184 seemed to be abit smoother... (although I'm sick right now and can't hear things properly) and the other one seemed fuller but slightly harsher but still good. I think the second one would work pretty damn well in most metal mixes to be honest!

Sounding good Lasse. I can't wait to hear some really refined tones.

These sounds definitely have that nice sort of dynamic smoothness that I've always associated with a Mark IV.

Listening at work on walkman headphones, sounds a tad thin, but still good. Definately got the character of the amp. Wants to be Evergrey's Recreation day.

BLAH! Needed to repost....
On my laptop, sounded great, the mids were perfect for some reason. Chucked it through the monitors and it got fairly buzzy and thin right away :*(

All in all though, the Mark is great, I think you'll find you'll love it after you play with it heaps, so many knobs etc

yeah, this is far from being perfect.

I think I had the presence knob pulled wich rid some of the bass punch..I'll re-record something tomorrow. I'll also post the settings if you still want them.
bear in mind that "thin" when soloed might be perfect when bass and kick etc is added
