Hey guys,

Long time relying on amp sims but recently got myself a real amp.
I just put a mic in front of the cab and try some reamping.
I have used Lasse DI from the modelling challenge.

Signal path:
Logic -> Edirol UA-101 -> Radial ProRMP -> Mesa Mark V (Extreme mode) -> Recto 2x12 -> M-Audio Solaris -> Edirol

So...

Yeah I agree with you on the gain. A bit more would have been better.
No thanks for a Mark V sim... too complex...
And I personally don't need a Mark V sim anymore.

sounds damn awesome for me, tight and wide, though there's one thing that calls my attention, that this is a reamp, don't you feel that when you use the real deal you need to use the real deal? with reamps i feel i don't have control over the amp sounds so that's a major thing to consider at the very beggining, not saying your tone sounds bad, you really know how a tone should sound, just saying my opinion is you can squish an amp capabilities when you actually use it when recording.

Thanks for your comments.
As it was my first reamp (and recording) of a real amp/cab it's hard for me to comment on squishing amp capabilities when an amp is used for recording. I don't have a lot of experience in that area. Lasse, lolzgreg, Ermz, Catharsis, etc may have more to speak on that subject.

Thanks John. As you can see I just got back in the real world :lol:

ps: And if you ever consider to make a Mark V sim I will be there to do all the reamp you would need.
