and a crappy marshall cab that goes into a cheap Art tube MP.....and a mbox :(

I'd love to hear it at a reasonable volume. You can almost hear that noise floor coming through the mix. It seems to hold its own down low though.

yea, I think I will isolate the cab so I can record at higher volume but I need money....Im trying to find a place to rent where I live so I can build my own mini studio. but first im gonna buy a UA610 micpreamp see if that will make it heavenly :)

Im working on the song and as soon as I have layed down some bas I will try hehe to mix it and then I upload the it, I think I will quad track it also with 2 sm57.....but I only got 1 micpreamp so...I have to try first

I've used the 610 on a 6505+ in the past. It was cool, although due to lack of metering on the unit itself I was actually clipping it, but wasn't aware of it, so my tracks came out harsh sounding. I'd say thats the main drawback of it. Plus I tend to prefer the more transparent units (non-tube) on guitars.

god damn!. Is it possible to make 5150's sound bad? I swear because are like I just recorded my 5150 with a cheap 1 dollar computer mic with a crate cab and a behringer mic pre and it still sounds good! I really really want to get one.
