Okey, this is my first serious attempt to mix something I've done. The song is not finished yet as you probably will notice.

Guitars are 6505+ with impulses and the drums are DKFH. (Does it make any difference if I buy a dummy load so I can crank the 6505+ instead of running it very low with cabs?)

I want some inputs how I can improve the mix.

well fuck me, its alot better than my first load of mixes, well done man.

that bass guitar needs to come up quite a bit IMO. especialy in the bottom end. say about 125-170ish?

try bringing up the ambient mics a bit more, it will give ur drums a more 3d sound with more depth

i like the snare sound, but i feel its a bit to thin, try some parallel compression and a tad more verb

guitars sound wicked for impulses

I'll record some new bass on the song as soon as I get a bass. At the moment it's a midi plug-in with the ampeg plug-in.

Guitars sound good, and very close to the "5150 sound" that most of the people on this forum are going for. (but too gainy for my taste ).

Did you dual track or quad track ?
