I have some sony. MDR-7506 headphones. The headphone jack was broken off. I bought a new one, soldered it on, and NOW, the sounds is as though everything is panned slightly (Not all the way) left... The kick/snare/everything that's supposed to be in the center is now about 50% to the left.

Help?

Weak connection to the left side can. Check and double check your solder joints. Something somewhere isn't perfect. Since most headphones have 2 positives and a negative, I'd say it's in one of the positives.

Well I actually tried and failed at least 4 time with doing it myself, and I finally took them into a guitar builder who does great solder work. The joints look perfect. Do you think it could perhaps be somewhere in the actually earpiece connection?
