fuck man, the new album is kickass. but i just imagine king diamond running around this apocalyptic orchestra doing random vocal parts.
the music is pure madness but doesn't grab my attention for more than three songs.
but to mix that kind of music with all that orchstra stuff must be extremely difficult,
so cluttered.

I'm into it. Does anyone have details of what vst (or real? doubt it tho) they used? I swear it's just EWQLSO platinum with the close mics.
have listened to wintersun here and there. forgot about them
is there any other vst that can do what quantum leap symphonic orchstra can do? I have virtually no experience with this stuff but it might be a good idea to invest in such a vst at some point.

I remember hearing their EP for the first time on hear, I think Erkan posted it (where the hell has he been anyways?). Blew my mind. The past 2 albums are solid, I just don't like them as much as the EP. They were a lot of fun to watch live

Saw them once live when they were on tour with suffocation in europe, this was years ago, stuff sounded like noise with triggers. Never cared about FGA anymore really, never bothered to actual listen to them, untill i accidentally heard their new stuff. This stuff is just lovely, and epic, and still brutal.

I really liked their concept when I first heard them. But I absolutely can't stand the singing. And like colonel_claypoo said, after a few songs I loose interest.

I think it's cool for a bit and then it's just to much noise. Eventually it all just blends together into a noisy mess.

These guys are just sick! The sick thing is: The current drummer was actually the old guitarist. Since the old drummer left, he basically just said, "Screw it, i´m trying out drums". And yeah, that´s the guy playing the drums now, haha. It´s simply mind blowing...
