So, since I still haven't found my big sauce book of doom, I figured I might as well see what else we can share around here. Neverboard has more than enough food threads, and I don't want to skip over eight pages of 'UR FAVOIRT BAND SUX' and people trying to convince others to fuck/not fuck/buy a prostate massager/fuck themselves, so here's this.

Oh, and Steve... a local restaurant (that pitches itself as "The worst BBQ in Texas!") sells their 'Rudy's Bar-BQ Sause' for under nine dollars a liter, and while it's fucking great it has about 280mg of salt in a two tablespoon serving. I'm guessing that's a bit high?

Yeah, that's a bit high for anyone_, not just me! A person must walk out of there feeling really "stuffed"(read: bloated) after eating there. That's cool though man, thanks for throwing something at us here!:headbang:

Some of these can work out allright! Thanks for throwing this in there BBQ Bats! Anybody else got anything in lieu of non-fast food? Your own recipes?

Well, I'll be working on easier ones... I'm not even 20 yet so I can get away with eating like I want to die tomorrow. Got some more on the way, a marinara-based fireball for pasta and meatballs is always fun and a 'traditional' (read: not weighed down by fucking tofu and gummi bears, or whatever the hell is in the new trendy recipes) chili along with the usual smoke sauce.

 That's cool man! I can always readjust to suit my diet, so keep 'em comin'!:headbang:

I liked the episode of Good Eats covering chili (well, I liked the food... the cheesy cowboy acting was... erm...), that's worth looking up.

If you're interested in Asian spices, a Vietnamese restaurant I've been going to weekly for about the last eight years has a nice concoction of fish oil, garlic, and sugar that blends really well with just about any good chili paste or sauce - Sriracha's red sauce has to be the best bottled Asian hot stuff I've dealt with - over stir fry... half pound of chicken, an onion, a bag of rice noodles, and some of that stuff makes an amazing three dollar meal.
