Football fans...what Premier League team do you support

Yeah, I agree Drogba is a total douche, but I think thats the kind of character you need for that top bracket of striker (Rooney). I try to see at as a positive thing in that regard that he wants to be the center of attention, and snaps at almost anything, and as much as it can work for us it can certainly work against (Moscow, lets leave that there :)).

Malouda has been better, but still doesn't cut it for me. I don't think he will ever come close to replacing Robben, only thing with Robben was his prone-ness to injuries and also the fact that you could tell he was off. Kalou I actually like, he has a good knack of cropping up at the right time, and is also always showing signs of improvement. If there is one player in our squad to "do a Liverpool" and get a goal in the dying minutes of the match, my money is certainly on Kalou.

Its a rare thing for me to say to Spurs fans (as most really hate Chelsea), but good luck for this season!

I think its a shame that you guys in America don't get the football thing....I think your country is too big for it. Its so much more than just being a spectator and watching it on telly - the fact that its feasable to visit every single ground in the country, regardless of division just makes it work. For it to have any significance over there it would have to have kind of "super teams" from each state, which would rule out any kind of proper support.

Peter Crouch....

Through no choice of my own, Im a United fan (Irish side of the family, stoned if you dont support them). But support them I do.

I literally live a stones throw away from Stamford Bridge and I couldn't hate Chelsea anymore then I do. The biggest wankers would have to be

JT - "Different level mate"....of being a supreme cunt
Ballack - Cunt
Cole - Top cunt
Deco- Moany cunt

:loco:

You will probably win the league this season.....unless...well I don't know what.

I remember years ago as a lad, I used to stay behind to see the players leave the ground and try to get some autographs and photos with them.

I remember just when JT was starting to appear on the team sheet having a photo with him, and he was a top bloke. Who would have thought he would become england captain.

And the Chelsea hating of recent......I think its funny how people only started hating us since we started getting a bit of success - no one seemed to mind us before.

No I always hated Chelsea. Pissing around my area, breaking things, smashing windows, etc etc.

On a side note, along time ago my brother used to play football with a lot of the chelsea kids, one of them being JT

Haha fair play, thats a nice claim to fame!

I won't bother arguing about who you hate, absolutely no point :)

I am loving our away support this year, the last few matches it has been absolute mayhem in the concourse, both before the match and at half time. Its becoming somewhat of a regular occurance, and whilst not exactly model behaviour, I think its a very unique thing that I haven't seen with many clubs. I think its great to see so many people in such great spirits and up for the day out:

Fair play to the fans, they are showing good support, and that is what it should be about.

Don't get me wrong, some of my best friends are Chelsea fans, I think its just being a United fan in a very wrong area....couldn't wear my kit round without getting into a fight. Call it a bitter resentment.

I know the feeling Lepers....as I united fan I'm surprised I was killed by the gooners when I was living in Camden & Islington. I think the Spurs fans kept me alive in some of the pubs I'd go in to watch a match.

You know, I recognize that the unifying power of "football" (sorry, gotta use the quotes :heh: ) is a beautiful thing, and it's cool that you guys can have such pride - but the dark side of it also seems intensely unappealing. I mean, Lepers, are you kidding about not being able to rock a jersey without getting into a fight? I guess part of it is where you hang, cuz here if you rock a Boston Red Sox jersey at some shitty fucking sports bar filled with grunting lowlife Yankee fans, then yeah, they'll probably start shit with you as well, but just walking around on the street no one gives a hoot.

And these stories about gangs of "fans" that go around and start brawls at their teams' away games, and people who kill themselves when their team loses...a little unhealthy sounding to me. Personally, I HATE die hard US sports fans (especially Yankee fans, having lived in NYC for 16 years and still living in the area), as evidenced by my above description of them

I'm probably the worst of the bunch....I'm a massive sports fan and having lived in Australia, the US, England and Ireland I follow football (soccer), football (NFL) and football (Aussie Rules). I can't stand that Irish rubbish (gaelic) football though....:D

I think if you go to a match and aren't looking for a fight, you'd be extremely unlucky to get beat up by someone. If you go looking for it, most times you can expect to get it, and also if you just act stupidly to the wrong people the same thing is going to happen.

I don't tend to wear football shirts at all (not the kind of supporter I am), but at the same time I have never been beaten up - the worst I have had is a bit of grief from Tottenham fans at their ground which is really expected if you go there......I have heard many stories of kids going with their dads and wearing shirts and getting battered because of it.
