I want to change my tubes into TT-12AX7 V1-selected and JJ-ECC83 S. Which position in the e530 (looking at the front) is the V1? left or right?

Not sure honestly. I have dual JJ's in mine, which totally destroy the stock tubes. I can go from clean to SRV to br00tal with no harshness.
Would be cool if somebody had an answer though... I'm definitely going to experiment with tubes in the e530 over time...

It'll be in the Engl manual, I'm positive, they normally have tube layouts right at the end.

I emailed a guy at tube-town.de he said the V1 must be the left one, because it's closer to the input. I'm trusting this guy cause I bought the tubes over there! thx anyway!

Maybe I should start a new thread for this, but I've been thinking of picking one of these up when mfriend gets them in. I want something relatively small to take around and was wondering if a tech21 power engine would go well with this. It would be mainly for recording, but still, if I wanted to go practice/small gig and didn't want to hurt my back, would something like this be a nice alternative to a Krank Rev jr.,Orange TT, etc.
you don'T even need a power amp for practising, as this thing has a 3 watt poweramp build in. it's loud enough for practising but not for gigging. if you add a poweramp, I don't think it would be much lighter or easier to carry around as a normal amp
