What kind of battery life do you get on average, in hours? Searching online pretty much only brings up the advertised lengths, which are really never as long.

One of my friends purchased a Zen Touch before he received an iPod as a gift, and he said that he liked the iPod better.
And, besides, if the iPod battery dies within the warranty time you can mail it back into Apple and they'll replace the battery.

I used to have a Zen Touch, before I dropped it and had to replace it with my iPod, which is undoubtedly better. But anyway, i'd say I got a good 12-16 hours out of it, depending on how high the volume is.
