For fans of Seventh Wonder

I introduce you to "When The Empire Falls". A little known but talented Finish metal band with two CDs. Metal crunch with melodic vocals. IMO these guys deserve a shot at ProgPower and Laser's Edge. After listening, what do you think?

Talented indeed. Sadly they have struggled to find a label and distribution.

I am always amazed that some dime-a-dozen bands have a large following while other bands with chops and good songwriting struggle. I guess it comes down to marketing and the bands desire to make it happen at damn near any cost to their personal lives. Or to have extreme patience and a positive attitude to keep making their music. Look at how long it took Hell to finally make an album. And a damn fine one at that.

So I do support one of Glenn's ideals, to find and promote young bands with talent and buzz. I am just hoping these guys get their shot someday and they stick around for it to happen.

As for the vocals, I think Tommi has one of he best clean vocals in the metal world. Hence one of the comparisons to Seventh Wonder. But like everything in music, everyone's taste and opinion is different.

it's ok... I agree with Matt; the music's not bad, the vocals don't do much for me.

Not bad; don't see or hear the Seventh Wonder correlation. Not sure where that comes from. Descent, nothing great....
