For my style, should I get a King V or a Kelly?

I am aiming to play thrashy black metal in a band and these two guitars have spiked my interesting since I layed eyes on them, but I cannot decide which is better.

Just get what you want most. Your guitar doesn't have to reflect what genre of music you play; for example, the vocalist/guitarist for Wintersun, a melodic death metal band, uses a Telecaster copy.

And are you sure about the JS series of Jacksons? If you really want a Jackson but don't have a lot of money to spend, then I suppose go for it. If you want something of better quality for around $500-700, get a KE3 (Kelly) or a KVX10 (King V).

You hear the bit about thrashy black metal? Good equipment would kill it.

For cheapo guitars, Ibanez RGs. If you have money, go with the a better Jackson or maybe the King V.

Don't worry about looks. Black metal dudes all look ridiculous anyhow. But it doesn't get more kvlt than a Warlock. Shitty instrument, though.
