here we have an excellent condition EVH 5153 modded by Jerry at FJA. this amp has his "metal mod". tons more usable gain , articulation , and more musical sounding on both the 2nd and 3rd channels. Jerry also tweaked the clean channel so it's more dynamic.
amp has a mix of JJ , Mesa Boogie , and Chinese pre am tubes. JJ power tubes w/ low hours on them. i swapped out the stock volume controls and put black ones so i could see them better. i have the stock ones and can put them back on for you.
these vids were recorded at jerry's shop w/ a camera and not pro tools , so these vids are not "doctored" up or edited. Jerry is builing me a custom amp , so this is funding that project!
the vid w/ the BLACK tolex is THIS ACTUAL amp. the white tolex amp has the same mod , but Jerry was able to play it louder in his new shop.
