...and it seems there are a lot of you:

They're a male/female clean vocalist band, sort of like Lacuna Coil, but much heavier, with thrash influence (I even hear a bit of Nevermore in their sound at times) and a little bit of prog. They happen to be IMO the best band on the bill so far.

Anyway, I predict that they're going to make a lot of new fans in May, as long as people show up on time.

yeah I'm hoping they bring cds with them... I only have an illegal copy of their first disc, and I can't find a copy at a reasonable price.

When I first heard their demo a few years back, their music had a lot of Nevermore comparisons in it, but with female vocals. Since then though, they sound a lot less like Nevermore, IMO & I think they sound better for it.

Rob - Just curious, where did you find these guys?
I have never heard of them. Just word of mouth online??? Just curious.....

One of them used to hang out on another forum (Perpetual Motion) & when I checked them out, I was instantly hooked. I've kept in youch with the guitar player Henrik since then & the timing was just right for them this year.

These guys are actually pretty decent on the ears, not sure if it's something I see myself listening to on a regular basis but it's certainly something I'd check out at least live.

Nice addition Rob. I am really looking forward to hearing them live.

The first track "Rise" has a few vocal parts (around the 1:20 mark) that remind me of the mighty Rick Mythiasin (Steel Prophet, Redemption). I believe it is the female singer.

Rick Mythiasin has a new album coming out soon with his new band called Mythiasin. The song I heard.. "Watch as the World Dies" sounds quite good to my ears. Nothing too fancy.. just good ol' crunchy Power Metal.

You can check it out at http://www.myspace.com/mythiasin or on my playlist at http://photune.com/norm

They are not horrible, but there are SOOOOOOOOO!!!!! many better bands to bring in. I dont see anyone dropping what they are doing to rush out and see these guys. They really dont bring anything new to the table. Hopefully you guys are not paying and arm and a leg for these guys to come over.

Not bad, but not good enough to get me in on Saturday. I love the female's vocals. She's got alot of power. But one band that I would be interested in isn't worth standing through the rest.

My whole real gripe is that wasnt this the "make or break" year. Last year we heard about more money loss and lack of a good size crowd. I figured this year would be the year the fest would see its past mistakes and try to make it a nice solid mix of genres and quality acts. The saturday annoucement reminds me of last year. Chaoswave are from over seas and are playing first....like last year when there was pretty much no one there for Thusizas. Why waste time and money to bring a band over to have them play in front of no one. The only people who will be there will be the one who already know who they are. With so many great bands from the US who dont get chances to play out. I think it would have been a wiser choice to get those bands this year. You are spending less money to get bands and posisbly get more of a crowd. A band say like Avenger of Blood, who are getting more and more popular. they would have been a great choice. From a post a while back, this was supposed to be the year to see if it was going to carry on. It looks like the same thing as last year. I am really hoping the friday night looks better.

Bob, I am with you on the order of Chaoswave being first.
They are coming from overseas to potentially play in front of 30 people, like what happened with Thurisaz.
