I have posted this in the ProgPower USA forum as well, but unfortunately it didn't get any interest. :p

So, Fortress Under Siege is a really talented but unlucky Greek band which released a magnificent, self/titled EP back in 1996.

They have reunited recently and they are ready to release their first full length album. I am sure that all of you who like Crimson Glory, Kamelot etc. will find interest in Fortress Under Siege.

You can listen to the songs of the 1996 EP here:

Wow, I guess I'm not surprised at the lack of response with it, since everyone wants to froth over a kindergarten children's band surrounded by managers and accountants in another thread...

This is amazing! Never heard it before, it's incredibly spacy and thoughtful. Gonna give it another listen after I'm done spinning my Ded Engine lp.

EDIT: I'd describe this as Adramelch meets Symphony X. Really original, extra theatrical stuff.

Successful description!

I am glad you like it, Jean-Pierre. This band deserves to be heard by a bigger audience, but I am not sure that they will get it. :/

Unfortunately I can only listen the youtube song. Anyway I assure that stuff is amazing. Greece owns a strong tradition in "european US metal". By far, is the european country with more bands that follow the classic US prog metal style.

It´s a pity that a lot of bands from that country, like these Fortress Under Siege, didn´t get more recognition.

It would be great a reissue from that EP on cd.

It seems that something is going wrong with the myspace, indeed.

Anyway, I own the CD and I can help you to listen all the songs. :)
