I've been playing Ys VI a lot recently, and was in this cave with all kinds of slime looking dudes of various color (this was a few weeks ago) and when I got to a silver one I sorta panicked, until I read this I didn't realize it was memories of the old cowardly Metal Slime reappearing all these years later. BTW the silver dude in Ys was tough, but he didn't run away as I owned his ass.

I like the later Dragon Quest games because they still have that simple purity, but they are more epic and less ugly. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Dragon Quest VIII or whatever the newest one coming out is looks awesome, btw.
