Frank Bello uses three fingers to play bass?

I was looking through Frank's Twitter and saw he mentioned that he "always uses three fingers to play".

That shocked me. Is there any video of him playing with three fingers? I'm dying to see it. I always thought Frank used two fingers only.
And from tons of videos I've watched of him playing, I don't think I've ever seen him use his ring finger.
