Forum members have come together to generously contribute tracks to a free 5 disc digital album now available for download. The album showcases a diverse collection of genres from progressive rock and metal to folk and electronic. This 5 disc set has a wide range of offerings from big star tracks like “Kiss of Death” – S.A. Adams (w/ Mike Portnoy @ 18 Years Old) and “The Alchemist” - Relocator Featuring Derek Sherinian (ex-Dream Theater, Planet X) to the heavenly “Star of the North Sea” by Aquarius Moon. This release features tracks as succinct as the one and half minute “Flip a Coin” by Matt Barker, to tracks that have greater time to develop a grand theme such as the sixty nine minute epic track “The Strange Case of MPF”.


THE PURPOSE OF THIS DIGITAL ALBUM IS TO CREATE AN INTEREST IN LINKING TO AND DISCOVERING NEW BANDS AND ARTISTS. THE DOWNLOAD IS AVAILABLE ON THE ALBUM'S WEBSITE IN VARIOUS DISTRO FORMATS INCLUDING ONE LARGE ZIPPED FILE WHICH CONTAINS 320KB MP3 FILES. THE CONTAINED FOLDER INSIDE THE SELF-EXTRACTING ZIP FILE FEATURES A TRACK LIST FILE THAT HOTLINKS TO EACH ARTIST’S WEBSITE. ADDITIONALLY, EACH MP3 FILE IS ENCODED WITH THE INDIVIDUAL ARTIST’S WEBSITES IN THE EVENT THAT SOME FILES LEAVE THE GROUP AND GET LOST ON THE INTERNET.
