Yep, all you sydney siders head to Darling Harbour at 4 this afternoon where Bon Jovi will perform a free, semi acoustic set in Darling Harbour on an apparently HUGE floating platform.

I didnt wanna shell out the big bucks to see em at Rumba, but am prepared to shell out a train ticket to see em at Darling Harbour :)

Why do these free gigs ALMOST ALWAYS happen in Sydney ? I dont mean to turn this thread into Sydney v Melbourne (or elsewhere) - just wondering why free Gigs are SO OFTEN there.

Dont mind a bit of John Bovi and Bounce is quite good IMHO.

Hope you enjoy it !

I went and what a day!
I am totally burnt.Got a roll of photos taken. Wished I was the zealous fan who dived in the water and swam to the stage and Jon helped him out of the water onto the stage. I was seriously thinking of diving in but had a camera and other valuable things with me.Especialy when two girls already were in and the lifeboat was distracted by them. They played for 45mins.Already got the photos back. Will be taking 2 lots of photos tomorrow!

Lucky buggers! I was thinking the other day how GnR did (but pulled out of) an in-store or something in Sydney in 1993, and Skid Row turned up and said hello. We got nowt in Melb!

I like the rocking songs on Bounce, but 6 slow songs is 5 too many.

Bounce is a load of rubbish. You know what's a far superior album and also has a song called "Everyday" on it?

That's right. Def Leppard's "X".
