Guys! Another free soundtoys plugin!
I missed the devil-loc =(, but got the little microshift and primaltap
You can't miss this!

Little AlterBoy™: Featuring pitch and formant shifting, the overly popular pitch-quantizing hard tune effect, pitch locked robot voice and much more. We've even included one of our classic tube saturation models from Decapitator to add warmth or edge to your new vocal creation and it's all free!

This is awesome, thanks for the post!

This is really good marketing, I normally go on to buy the full version of all these plugins as well!

Aww, but Soundtoys requires an iLok!
But wait, "* No iLok Required"
Sweet, I'll get it!
*registers with Soundtoys and tries to download the plug-in*
YOU NEED TO PUT IN AN ILOK ID

Fuck'em..

I keep getting a message that says their "servers are experiencing heavy traffic" when I try to log in. I've waited for a few hours now. I can't even try to redeem a code. WTF Anyone else experiencing this problem?

This. Lotsa whining over free shit.

Oh, please.. stop with the drama..
I've already registered with them and given them my adress, phone number, a lot of information..
And the registration field for the iLok wasn't marked as required field..
At some point it's not "free shit" anymore (actually when you have to jump through several hoops to get the product), having to register with several places suck..

Okay, so it takes 10 minutes. I'll give you that it's not a good UX, but follow along:

At an hourly rate of $40/hr (which would be great in this field), you're spending 7 bucks on the thing. These guys give out a new plugin every 8-12 months and 9/10 plugins worth buying requires an iLok, so doing it once actually preps you for future instances like this. Three years/4 plugins, adding an additional 2 mins to fill out the new form per plugin, you've got 18 minutes/$12 or $3/plugin invested in it.

That really doesn't seem bad to me. Write the time off as a maintenance-themed business cost on your taxes if it REALLY bothers you that much.

I "vote with my wallet" and support those that don't use iLok, though I'm not against anyone using one.
That being said, it creates an annoyance when you're offered a plug-in, then you find out you need to register, then the iLok thing isn't required nor the field where it says to put in the account (whatever it is)..
Then it still doesn't work, and then you'd have to register to some other place with your personal information..
I'm not putting my head into the oven over it, but there's tons of free stuff that don't require any of it.
It seemed like cool plug-in, though.
I can see you understand where I'm coming from, and if it was a bigger plug-in then it might've been worth the trouble..
