Free VST synths for Post Metal?

I'm looking for a couple of good (free) Vsti synths, but they have to either be super easy to use or have some decent presets as I'm pretty lost when it comes to setting up Synths.

I'm really looking for two synths; one for 'noise' making, i.e really depressive, drone, glitch, white-noise makers aka Isis, Rosetta- very post-metal/ industrial/ drone etc.

And a second synth for more ambient, ethereal/ synth-string stuff.

I've tried a few, but never found one I really love.

Any help?

Between those four (actually seven if you do give Synth Squad a go), you should be covered.

massive is not free though unless there is another synth named massive that is. What daw are you using? If you're using Cubase 6.5 then there are plenty of good synths to use that come free with it.

you can try Cygnus for cool ambient effects and stuff. That seems to be a well reviewed free synth.

Cygnus is great and by the way Krakli has a lot of other good stuff too.
