So let me hereby introduce you three fairly new bands which rock the bottom of hell with some premium edge "modern" yet filthy black metal drawing influences from acts like Funeral Mist, Deathspell Omega, Ofermod and the like while not sounding second-hand at all. Ok, so I listened to Glorior Belli - pretty tasty, I'd definitely like to hear more of these guys. I also listened to Hexenkreis, and pretty much thought it was meh, nothing more. I don't know if I'd spend money on them, but I might check out a few more songs via download.

No really, a trustworthy French BM portal is unknown to me. But you know all the worthy names by now I guess: Deathspell Omega, Heol Telwen, Bran Barr, Belenos, Aes Dana, Glorior Belli, Blut aus Nord, Alcest, Ancalagon, Himinbjorg, Love Lies Bleeding, Nehemah, Osculum Infame...

Everytime I see the band Lucifugum, I see Limburger, don't ask me why. And how that's related to this thread, I don't know. I think I word-associated "smellae" with limburger cheese
