Frequency Analyzer Questions

I've seen a lot of members referring to frequency analyzers on the board. As far as I can tell it shows you the overall frequency of the mix and you adjust your eq accordingly to achieve a fuller or clearer mix.

Is this a really useful tool to use?

Any recommendations for frequency analyzer plugins?

I've been playing around with them lately. It's a useful tool, but as most will tell you on here, it shouldn't be a substitute for your ears.

The one I use alows you to set window transparency, so you can layer them to compare different tracks and such. Very cool and it was free. Made by Blue Cat, check it out.
