Hi, I'm new. Thought I'd say a bit about me before chiming in on topics.
I've loved my metal for about 15 years and listen to most types. When I was younger Death Metal was a bit noisy to me, but I've been embraced it lately. It's a great anger release andboy, do I have a lot of anger.
I dunno why the sudden leap to the darkest of dark but I'm not questioning it! I've found some great bands along the way! Book Of Black Earth and Obscura, to name but a few of my recent finds.
I've also started writing lyrics which, even as a writer, has never been my thing. Writing for black metal seems to come naturally and I'm itching to overcome my lack of confidence to learn the guitar and fix the lyrics up with some sick chords. It seems completely right.
I came here looking to talk with like-minded folks and get some inspiration.
Confession time. I'm still a concert virgin! Not through just, just things habe always got in the way! Can't wait to find out who's coming in 2013 to tear it up in Glasgow. I'll be 30 next year so it HAS to happen before then!
