eh this video didnt even bother me that much, the internet has pretty much desensitized me to almost all types of violence and gore

It's a difficult debate. Logically, it's abhorrent that we eat meat (counter-arguments tend to be misleading) but nonetheless, the meat industry is huge and I doubt that'll ever change. Given the situation, all that can be done is to seek humane treatment for animals bred for our consumption/enjoyment. In very real terms, I'm not against the eating of meat in the slightest, only the fact that we are all so out of touch with what we eat it's hardly tangible anymore.

Also, it's sad that emotional blackmail has to be employed for people to give a toss.
